Rev. Dr. Erdie Mae Roberts Hutchings is a Master Educator, U.S. Army Veteran, and ordained minister with a lifelong passion for teaching, ministry, and community service. She holds a Doctorate in Divinity and an Ed.S. in Education, and has been married to William Hutchings Sr. for 47 years. Together, they have three children and four grandchildren, Candace, Micayla, William, and Zoey.
A devoted minister and Teacher of the Gospel, Rev. Dr. Hutchings co-leads a Facebook Bible Study alongside her husband and siblings. Her ministry is rooted in faith, family, and a calling to serve others—from feeding the homeless to visiting the sick and educating seniors.
Her dedication in the classroom has earned her numerous honors, including Hampton Roads City-Wide Teacher of the Year, Walmart Teacher of the Year (three consecutive years), and multiple appearances in Who’s Who.
Rev. Dr. Hutchings lives by Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
