What is BGT?
Black Girl Theologian (BGT) is a movement and publishing imprint that empowers Black women and girls to study, write, and live out theology with boldness and beauty. We are building a table where sound doctrine and identity meet.
Why Black Girl Theologian?
Black Girl Theologian is not just a brand-it's a bold declaration. Far too long have Black women have been underrepresented in theological spaces, silenced in pulpits, and overlooked in scholarly conversations. But we are reclaiming our place. To identify as a theologian is to acknowledge your right to study and speak about God with authority, clarity, and conviction. It means loving God with all of your heart, soul, and mind-knowing that theology is not just for seminaries but for every woman who wants to know the Word and walk in truth.
