iPress Author Portal – Secure Access Brief

This brief outlines the structure and functionality for the secure iPress Author Dashboard within the Publishing Hub.
This gated area will serve as the primary access point for approved iPress authors to download tools, track their publishing progress, and receive guided support.

Dashboard Access Requirements

Authors must log in using secure credentials (email/password or Google authentication).

Only approved authors will be granted access via admin approval.

A welcome page with the author's name should greet each login.

Author Toolkit Template Downloads

Within the dashboard, authors should be able to download the following resources:

Outline & Brainstorm Worksheet

Publishing Checklist

Beta Reader Feedback Form

Marketing & Launch Guide

Book Description + Bio Worksheet

Prayer & Scripture Journal Pages

Each file should be downloadable in multiple formats, with previews or tooltips.

Manuscript Starter Template (PDF, Word, Google Doc)

Live Progress Tracker

A Google Sheets–based or integrated progress tracker that visually displays:

Milestones completed

Current phase (writing, editing, formatting, etc.)

Upload button for draft submissions or feedback

Embed functionality is needed.

Chatbot / AI Support

Include a chatbot to answer questions about the publishing process, timelines, or next steps.
Optional integration with an FAQ database or guided flows (i.e., “Where do I upload my manuscript?”).

Video Placeholder

A placeholder block should be reserved at the top of the dashboard for a future welcome video from iPress staff.
Include title and optional caption.

 Track Your Progress

At iPress, we believe transparency builds trust. That’s why we created this real-time tracker to keep you informed from manuscript submission to final delivery.

No more guessing where your book stands—every stage is marked with a status icon and a personalized timeline. Whether you're editing, designing your cover, or preparing to publish, your tracker shows exactly where you are and what’s coming next.
